OVERVIEW: A Maintenance Automation specialist troubleshoots, services, and repairs computerized systems and robotic devices that are designed to reduce human interaction.
COMPENSATION: $34-38/hr
SCHEDULE:
2-2-3 Days (some flexibility required to meet business needs)
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
Responsible for following all plant and department specific safety rules, procedures, and programs. Wearing all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements
Responsible for escalating safety issues
Able to link up with and communicate with all PLC and Drive Platforms
Advanced Troubleshooting utilizing Rapid Problem-Solving Techniques and other principles
Ability to mentor and train other technicians and maintenance trainees on the Amcor systems and develop training procedures that do not exist
Capable of seeing and understanding daily production losses relative to system issues and is capable of updating maintenance staff of the Root Cause and the Corrective Actions
Capable of understanding and calibrating E/P, Loadcell, and other process sensors/scales
Capable of setting PID controls on Temperature Controllers
Work more closely with OEM’s to understand equipment functionality and setup. Examples include NDC, Fife, Davis Standard, Rockwell, Siemens, W&H, PHMC, Conair, Eurotherm/Parker
Capable of designing and implementing Project Improvement Projects specifically in the field of electronics. Examples include tension control, dancer control, heater updates, etc.
Capable of updating prints, redlines, through the use of AutoCAD 2D
Capable of writing electrical procedures and documentation
A willingness to work nights and weekends depending upon the call volume and after hour issues
Capable of working directly with Corporate and Plant Engineering. When requested, participate in larger Capex Projects
Responsible for troubleshooting both mechanically and electrically by having a working knowledge of mechanical components of machines and how to repair.
WHAT WE VALUE:
Mechanical and electrical trouble shooting skills
Ability to use various hand tools, multi-meters, computers and oscilloscopes
Detail oriented, well organized and able to function in a team environment under deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a team environment
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Capable of PLC programming using Allen Bradley, Siemens
Working knowledge of Wonderware would be advantageous
Manage plant utilities software through i-vue
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
Working knowledge of plant equipment and preventative maintenance techniques
Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Automation, or Journeyman with E&I
Formal training and/or education in electrical/electrical systems (including PLC’s) preferred
2-5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance of plant production machinery and support systems preferred
