Wood is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Architect with design and production experience in industrial, chemical, energy, and paper markets. The Senior Architect will lead project design and development, oversee and prepare construction drawings, develop specifications, and assess existing facilities for Wood’s Specialty Industrial Clients.

This position provides architectural design leadership on detail design projects, directing architectural design from conceptual studies, feasibility analysis, construction-grade scope and estimates, detailed design, and construction field support. This opportunity can be based in Tucker (Atlanta), GA or Greenville, SC, with hybrid or remote work options. Authorization to work lawfully in the USA without sponsorship is required.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned architect who brings strong technical and production experience across industrial facility design. The role involves leading the architectural development of multidiscipline projects, coordinating design packages, ensuring code compliance, and supporting construction activities.

You will manage design phases from early concept through construction documentation, perform building code analyses, generate life-safety documentation, lead multidisciplinary coordination, and resolve technical issues during construction. The position requires expertise in industrial building requirements including hazardous materials and high-hazard occupancies.
