The Indirect Tax Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing indirect tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. The role verifies and analyzes tax invoices, reconciles general ledger accounts, manages tax records. The role develops foundational knowledge of tax principles under direct supervision and fosters internal collaboration. The role works with various departments to ensure timely and accurate tax data reporting and requests VAT payment. The role contributes to tax strategy execution through detailed reporting and participation in special projects, assists in the development of internal controls.
**Your role:**
+ Prepares, reviews, and files VAT returns, ensuring comprehensive data accuracy, adherence to complex tax regulations, and alignment with company compliance requirements.
+ Performs the detailed verification and analysis of tax invoices and related documents, addressing and rectifying discrepancies, and ensuring that all submissions fully comply with legal and regulatory standards.
+ Learns to use and effectively apply professional concepts, developing a foundational understanding of relevant principles and practices that contribute to professional growth, working under direct supervision.
+ Develops stable working relationships internally, actively exchanging standard information with colleagues, immediate supervisors, project leaders, and other professionals within the team or group to foster collaboration and support collective goals.
+ Coordinates the reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts related to indirect taxes, identifying moderately complex issues, recommending solutions, and implementing corrective actions to ensure financial accuracy.
+ Develops and maintains a structured system for organizing and managing tax records, ensuring efficient retrieval and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
+ Monitors and manages indirect tax payment schedules, proactively addressing potential issues, ensuring timely payments, and mitigating risks associated with late or incorrect submissions.
+ Collaborates with internal departments such as finance, purchasing, and logistics to ensure accurate and timely collection and reporting of tax-related data, and resolve any issues affecting tax compliance.
+ Contributes actively to the development and execution of tax strategies, prepares comprehensive reports and analyses, participates in special projects to enhance departmental effectiveness and compliance.
**You're the right fit if:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, Tax, Law, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in VAT, including activities such as tax coding, Intrastat reporting, VAT compliance, and preparation of daily and monthly tax reports.
+ Strong command of English (minimum B2 level).
+ High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
+ Strong logical and analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail.
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
