Indirect Rate Specialist
Job Title: Indirect Rate SpecialistJob Description The Indirect Rate Specialist supports the review, analysis, and negotiation of provisional and final indirect cost rate proposals, ensuring they align with federal cost principles. The role involves preparing negotiation objectives, conducting in-depth cost/price analyses, and maintaining NICRA official files. This position requires coordination with auditors, legal counsel, and other specialists to address audit findings related to indirect costs. Additionally, the specialist provides technical guidance on indirect cost rate application and compliance, monitors performance, and supports policy development. Responsibilities + Support the review, analysis, and negotiation of provisional and final indirect cost rate proposals. + Prepare negotiation objectives and conduct in-depth cost/price analyses. + Maintain NICRA official files; ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation in agency systems. + Coordinate with auditors, legal counsel, and other specialists to resolve audit findings related to indirect costs. + Provide technical guidance on indirect cost rate application and compliance. + Monitor provisional indirect rate performance, perform trend analysis, and recommend adjustments as needed. + Support policy development and interpretation on cost principles and indirect rates. Essential Skills + At least 5 years of direct experience reviewing and negotiating indirect rates for a USG department or agency. + Bachelor’s degree in Business. + FAC-C Professional, CFCM, CPA, or CGFM certification. + Ability to obtain a Public Trust. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in contracts administration and management. + Capability to quickly assimilate new information and become proficient in unfamiliar topics. + Knowledge of Government to Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organizations is beneficial. Work Environment The position requires collaboration with various specialists, including auditors and legal counsel. It involves working with agency systems to ensure documentation accuracy and may require proficiency in new topics relevant to government and international organizations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington D.C., DC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $43.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
