A role in the Finance Operations calls on your skills for quality financial and operational reporting and analytics, ensuring accurate financials while providing thoughtful and responsive support, expertise and guidance to business partners. Your role will be critical to ensuring the success of Target’s business initiatives and core retail operations.
As an Indirect Payables Process Analyst, you will learn Target’s entire procure to pay flow and how each step in the process impacts payments to our vendors. You will be a partner to internal teams (Procurement, Sourcing, Property Management Accounting, Tax, Finance) to understand their challenges, provide insights and data, and advocate for enhancements on behalf of Finance to ensure alignment across the organization. You’ll be an expert contact for Payrec (the Indirect Manual Invoice Entry System), manage the incoming checks and work with internal partners to determine where to apply them and answer questions for Indirect partners in Salesforce. You will help with the Contract Compliance Program with the 3rd party Audit Firm as needed and work closely with the Target India Team on Collections Operations as well as take over bankruptcies and liens to resolution which means working closely with internal and external Counsel. You’ll be a backup for questions and processing of OCOS and wire payments. You will participate in Finance enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring that new solutions meet our requirements for completeness and accuracy. Finally, you’ll help set requirements and testing of new technology solutions and incident recoveries with our product and technology partners.

About you:
· B.A/B.S degree or equivalent experience
· 2-4 years of business or financial operations experience
· Advanced SAP experience in navigating screens, pulling reports and analyzing data
· An accounting and control mindset
· Strong communication, problem solving, organization and analytical skills
· High level of curiosity, initiative and the desire to learn end-to-end processes to drive improvements
· Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyze large volumes of data and draw meaningful conclusions or insights.
· Ability to be resilient and adaptable, working through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced operations environment
· Experience in system testing a plus
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
