Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a passionate, self-motivated leader for the newly created position of Indigenous Relations Lead for Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This is a permanent full-time position reporting to a Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL). The goal of this role is to improve the consistency, quality, and volume of Indigenous Projects across Ontario and Atlantic Canada for all business lines. This includes projects directly for and in partnership with Indigenous Nations, project involving an Indigenous consultation component, projects involving Indigenous Benefits Plans, business development, and relationship management. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: + Lead business development activities and relationships with Indigenous communities in Ontario and Atlantic Canada + Collaborate with AECOM Canada’s Project Delivery Teams to ensure Indigenous reconciliation is fully integrated at each project’s phase: Proposal, Planning, Execution, and Closure. + Support and work with the Indigenous Capture Team (ICT), the Indigenous Delivery Team (IDT), the Indigenous Relations Technical Practice Group (IR-TPG) and Indigenous Vendors/Procurement Team (IVPT); meet monthly with the Chairs of these groups within AECOM + Keep Regional Business Line Leaders informed of development activities. + Sit as a member of the Indigenous Relations Advisory Committee. **Qualifications** **Minimum requirements:** + A university degree or professional designation is preferred (such as project management, Indigenous studies, environmental planning), although proven practical experience is essential. + 10 + years working in a similar role in the public or private sectors. + High interest in Indigenous reconciliation work. + Recent (over the last 2 years) experience in leading and or chairing teams, committees, working groups. + Candidates must be First Nations, Inuit or Metis, and applicants must self-declare that they are + A valid driver license and access to transportation is required for site and client visits. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong analytical, planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills. + Excellent interpersonal communication skills: this role requires continuous interaction with Indigenous communities, project team leaders, clients, and the public. **Additional Information** + Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
