Reporting directly to the **India President,** the **Senior Director of India Business Development** plays a key role to lead strategic growth initiatives and expand Veralto’s presence in the Indian market. Reporting directly to the President, Veralto India, this role will focus on identifying, developing, and supporting execution of business development opportunities—including mergers and acquisitions—that align with Veralto’s mission of safeguarding the world’s most vital resources.
This position is part of the I **ndia Strategy & Business Development** located in India and will be on hybrid work model
In this role, a typical day will look like:
**Market Understanding & Sizing** : Lead efforts to deeply understand the Indian market, including total market sizing and segmentation analysis, and share insights across all Operating Companies.
**Market Expansion** : Develop and implement strategies to grow Veralto’s footprint in India across water quality, food safety, and pharmaceutical sectors.
**India Strategy Planning** : Drive the development of Veralto’s India strategy in collaboration with Operating Companies, ensuring alignment with global priorities and local opportunities.
**Growth Enablement Across Operating Companies** : Partner with Operating Company leadership teams to identify and execute initiatives that accelerate growth—such as new product introductions, channel development, and operational improvements.
**Partnership Development** : Identify and establish strategic partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, EPC's and industry associations to accelerate market penetration.
**Opportunity Identification** : Conduct market research to uncover high-potential segments, emerging trends, and regulatory developments in India.
**M&A Support** :
Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential acquisition targets in India.
Support due diligence activities, including market analysis, financial modeling, and valuation.
Collaborate with global Corporate Development and Finance teams to provide local insights and ensure smooth transaction processes.
**Integration Support** : Work with Operating Companies and functional teams to facilitate integration planning and execution for acquired businesses.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Partner with global and regional teams, including product management, operations, and marketing, to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.
**Thought Leadership** : Represent Veralto in industry forums and build relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen brand presence in India.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
• **Business Development & M&A Exposure** : 8+ years in business development roles with experience supporting M&A activities, preferably in regulated industries such as water, food, or pharma.
• **Consulting or Strategy Background** : 2–3 years in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience in growth strategy and market analysis.
• **Local Market Knowledge** : Deep understanding of India’s regulatory environment, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• **Education** : Undergraduate degree in engineering, life sciences, or related technical discipline; MBA from a top-tier institution preferred.
• **Execution Experience** : Proven track record of supporting growth initiatives and contributing to successful transactions in India.
