The PositionResponsible for comprehensive equipment management for R&D within Roche (Scotland). This includes tracking, maintaining, categorizing, and validating equipment, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. Acts as the representative of Roche (Scotland) in the RDS R&D organization.
About the Team
Roche (Scotland) focuses on developing diagnostic solutions for patients through the innovative Cobas Lumira platform. The Systems Development and Integration Chapter connects the entire product lifecycle, from translating needs to integrating and verifying solutions.
Responsibilities
Equipment Inventory Management
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all equipment.
Track equipment movement, deployment, and lifecycle.
Categorize equipment appropriately based on function and usage.
Equipment Validation and Maintenance
Ensure equipment validation according to its category and requirements.
Ensure equipment is fully compliant with internal quality policies and external regulatory standards.
Schedule and coordinate routine and preventative maintenance.
Manage equipment repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
Ensure all equipment is in safe and operational condition.
Training and Coordination
Coordinate with equipment owners and users.
Ensure users understand and adhere to equipment management procedures and validation requirements.
Act as a representative of Roche (Scotland) in the RDS R&D organization for equipment management.
Reporting
Prepare and present reports on equipment inventory, maintenance, validation, and utilization.
Provide regular updates to management on equipment status and related activities.
Provide functional support during auditing processes.
Qualifications
Skills
Knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, and validation procedures.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge in the field of Point of Care measuring systems, especially technical evaluations and measurement methods.
Experience
Experience in the application of statistical methods.
Experience in the qualification and validation of laboratory-based systems.
Experience in working under a Quality Management System.
Professional experience in the development of diagnostic measuring systems.
Education
Relevant certifications or technical training preferred.
Bachelor / Master in science (chemistry, biology, medical technology or similar)
This role requires on‑site presence at least 50% of the working week.
