Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Security Monitoring Specialist to join our Risk Consulting team. As a Data Security Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for continuous monitoring, alert triage, and basic reporting to ensure DSOC operational health. You will work as L1 staff for routine monitoring & reporting of all in-scope technologies and processes. You will work on various types of technologies but not limited to DLP, DAM, CASB, Data Discovery, Data Classification, Encryption, DSPM, Zero Trust solutions, PETs, and more. The ideal candidate should possess strong project management skills, technical expertise in cybersecurity, and a comprehensive understanding of best practices in the field.

Education:
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications:
•    Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+; SIEM, Microsoft SC-900 (Fundamentals) + KQL basics; Incident handling awareness
Experience:
•    Proven experience (0-3 years) in a similar role, preferably in a consulting environment.
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Experience with DLP, CASB, DAM, Encryption, DSPM, Zero Trust Implementation, Monitoring & Assessment along with data discovery and data classification
•    Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DPDP Act).

•    Technical: DLP, Data Discovery, UEBA, PETs, DAM, CASB, FIM, Encryption/Masking, SIEM/SOAR. 
•    Leadership: Team building, executive communication. 
•    Regulatory: DPDPA, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, SOX.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Monitoring:
Perform 24×7 monitoring of DLP, CASB, DAM, UEBA, FIM, SIEM dashboards; validate alerts and escalate per playbooks.

Alert Triage:
Classify alerts by severity; apply initial containment steps where authorized; escalate to L2/L3 for advanced handling.

Reporting:
Prepare daily operational reports on alerts, SLA adherence, and system health; update shift handover logs.

Tool Health:
Check connectors, ingestion pipelines, and agent status; raise tickets for anomalies or outages.

Compliance Checks:
Ensure monitoring aligns with ITIL, NIST, ISO 27035, and DSOC SOPs; maintain evidence for audits.

Reporting & Dashboards:
Daily: alert volumes, SLA compliance, false positives. 
Weekly: trend analysis and escalation summaries. 
Monthly: consolidated metrics for governance and audits.

Incident Management & Response:
Follow DSOC playbooks for initial containment; escalate promptly; assist in evidence collection and post-incident documentation.

Project & Stakeholder Management:
Support deployment validation and monitoring readiness; coordinate with L2/L3 teams for tuning and improvements.

Additional Responsibilities: 

Research & Thought Leadership:
Stay updated on monitoring best practices; suggest improvements for dashboards and alert workflows.

Travel Requirements
•    Travel to Client locations locally, in addition to travelling domestically and/or internationally for assignments as required.
