Job Description & Summary
Objective of the Role:
you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
System Administration & Operations
Manage endtoend SAP system administration for ECC, S/4HANA, BW/BI, SCM, SRM, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and other SAP components.
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, workload analysis, and optimization activities.
Handle client copies, system refreshes, transport management, spool management, and background job administration.
SAP Installations, Upgrades & Migrations
Lead SAP installation, configuration, and version upgrades (ABAP + Java stacks).
Perform EHP upgrades, Support Package (SP) upgrades, kernel upgrades, and database migrations (including Oracle → HANA).
Execute HANA platform administration, HANA patching, HANA backup & recovery, and performance tuning.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Manage SAP environments hosted on Azure, AWS, or GCP, including HA/DR architecture design.
Experience with SAP on hyperscale cloud: sizing, provisioning, networking, and system scalability.
Work with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and OS-level administration (Linux/Unix/Windows).
Security & Compliance
Oversee user administration, role configuration, and SOX-compliant access management.
Manage SSL certificates, SSO, SNC/Kerberos, and security hardening.
Ensure adherence to audit requirements and internal control procedures.
Troubleshooting & Production Support
Provide Level 3 support for critical production issues, system outages, and performance bottlenecks.
Root cause analysis for system failures, dumps, locks, and interface errors.
Bridge between cross-functional teams (Functional, ABAP, Infra, DB).
Project Leadership & Collaboration
Lead BASIS tracks in complex projects like rollouts, carve-outs, cloud migrations, or greenfield S/4HANA implementations.
Work closely with DBAs, network teams, developers, vendors, and stakeholders.
Mentor junior BASIS consultants and ensure documentation and knowledge transfer.
*Mandatory Skill sets: SAP BASIS, S4HANA, AMS/Migration Project experience
