In-School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – San Jose, CA Compensation: $75–$85 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time (up to 40 hours/week) Duration: ASAP through end of current school year Location: San Jose, CA (on-site) Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation and therapy services within a school-based setting in San Jose, CA. This role includes conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, documenting services according to professional standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication and functional needs. Key Responsibilities + Conduct student evaluations and diagnostic assessments, including communication and feeding/swallowing needs. + Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care using evidence-based practices. + Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services and document all progress. + Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and communications. + Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and professional standards. + Collaborate with teachers, physicians, parents/guardians, and related service professionals. + Track student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. + Maintain safety, professionalism, and ethical practice at all times. Minimum Requirements + Active California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License. + Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; may be required per state/contract. + Compliance with all professional and regulatory standards. + Current CPR certification (as applicable). + TB test, PPD, or chest X-ray results (as required). + Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements). + Must meet all federal, state, and local hiring requirements. + Minimum age: 18. Preferred Qualifications + School-based SLP experience, including evaluation and therapy delivery. + Experience with SEIS or similar special education information systems. + Strong collaboration and communication skills. + Strong documentation and written communication abilities.
