Description The Webster In-School Resource Teacher position is a 10-month position funded by the Literacy Coaches and Reading Specialists grant. Webster Elementary Academy of Science and the Arts is a STEAM-themed magnet school. Our mission is to support children to think independently with curiosity and develop a passion for lifelong learning by responding to real world problems. The In-School Resource Teacher is a key member of the Instructional Leadership Team, ensuring high-quality literacy instruction for all students.
Requirements / QualificationsExamples of Duties The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our school's literacy plan, with responsibilities including but not limited to: *Increasing access to evidence-based literacy instruction. *Providing professional development for staff. *Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform instruction at the individual, classroom, and school level. *Using data-driven approaches to identify and support students in need. *Offering direct, push-in supplemental small group reading support and tier 2 intervention. *Collaborating closely with the Webster team to ensure the highest quality standards-based instructional program. *Engaging in lesson modeling, co-planning, and co-teaching with teachers. *Implementing differentiated reading strategies and culturally responsive teaching practices to support all students, including Multilingual English Learners, students with disabilities, socioeconomically disadvantaged students, and gifted students. *Establishing an evidence-based family literacy initiative. *Developing extended learning programs focused on literacy. *Developing partnerships with public libraries and other organizations to provide digital tools and support for whole family literacy.
Minimum Qualifications Qualified applicants must have a multiple subject credential. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
