Pay Rate: $70 per hour (Local) — Travel pay rates available

Position Summary
The Resource Specialist provides in-school instruction and support to students with special needs, delivering both group and one-on-one instruction in academic areas identified in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). This role involves evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and school staff to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide specialized instruction to students in accordance with their IEP goals.
+ Evaluate and document student progress regularly.
+ Develop and adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs.
+ Write IEPs, including transitional goals, and participate in IEP meetings.
+ Consult with administrators, teachers, parents, psychologists, and other professionals.
+ Evaluate student referrals and conduct assessments for special education services.
+ Meet with general education teachers to develop and monitor classroom modifications.
+ Research and order instructional materials as needed.
+ Participate in job-related meetings and professional development.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Valid Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential.
+ Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional strategies.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and students.
