Advisory & Governance
Provide compliance advice to management and associates on compliance topics
Monitor legislative changes in India and assess their impact on business operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian laws and regulations, global standards (e.g. FCPA, UKBA) relevant to Bosch India, and ensure compliance with obligations specific to public listed companies in India, including SEBI and Companies Act.
Implement Bosch India relevant local policies, guidelines, and procedures and Support further development of the Bosch India compliance management program.
Cooperate and liaise with government authorities and manage external legal counsel. Report regularly to the Regional President and Regional Head of Compliance, in addition to any other required reporting, for e.g. to the Audit Committee.
Risk Management
Identify and assess compliance risks with a focus on Bosch India, across all business divisions within the region.
Support to implement measures to monitor and mitigate risks, for example due diligence, business partner screening, internal controls and policies, risk assessments / analyses and audits.
Review and monitor the regional Bosch India compliance management program to ensure it meets the requirements of local laws and standards, and it maintains the effectiveness.
Internal Investigations
Conduct internal investigations in potential violations of internal regulations or external laws (for e.g. in areas relating to bribery, fraud, conflicts of interest), which includes report intake, case management, e-forensics, reporting, recommending appropriate sanctions, disciplinary measures, or other consequences, and, if necessary, supporting implementation of sanctions and measures
Collaborate with other departments, including, HR, Audit and Legal, and external counsel, where required.
Training & Communication
Implement and conduct trainings and communication activities to ensure awareness on the compliance organisation, and the organisation’s culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
Leadership
Lead and develop a high performing compliance team in India, which consists of Bosch India compliance as well as technical product compliance experts.
Act as a compliance ambassador and organisational leader, setting the tone for integrity and transparency from the top.
Lead coordination and collaboration efforts to align local compliance initiatives with the global compliance strategy, while balancing the specific regulatory, operational, and cultural requirements of the region.
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Business, or related fields from a recognised university.
Experience:
12 to 15 years of experience in legal compliance and ethics, internal investigations, and/or audit, preferably within a multinational company and public listed company.
Proven leadership experience, including managing a team and influencing at the executive level.
Excellent analytical, investigative and decision-making ability.
Robust personality, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to communicate professionally with all levels within the organization.
