Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Deputy Manager of Operations & Maintenance for Air Compressors and HVAC Systems leads a team responsible for ensuring the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all compressed-air and HVAC equipment across our facilities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and strategic planning, proactive approach to equipment reliability, energy efficiency, operational excellence, minimize downtime, extend equipment life-cycle, and compliance with safety and environmental standards
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations of HVAC systems and air compressor units (reciprocating, rotary screw, centrifugal, etc.).Monitor system performance, ensure optimal uptime, and respond to operational issues in a timely manner.Manage and optimize energy consumption of HVAC and compressed air systems.Handling of BMS system to maintain the temperature and humidity of clean rooms.Knowledge of dehumidifier and humidifiers to maintain the desired parametersOperation and maintenance of operation of chillers, cooling towers, packaged AC, precision AC and problem findingHandle Energy conservation projects.Maintenance Oversight
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC and air compressor systems.Coordinate corrective maintenance and system upgrades or replacements as required.Maintain comprehensive maintenance records, equipment histories, and logs.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC system issue.Clean room standards ISO standards and working.Team Leadership & Training
Lead and manage a team of technicians, engineers, and contractors.Provide technical guidance, training, and development to ensure team competency.Allocate tasks, supervise work execution, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific codes, regulations, and environmental standards.Enforce workplace safety practices, conduct risk assessments, and drive incident-free operations.Oversee documentation and certification processes for equipment inspections and audits.Project Management
Plan and execute capital improvement projects related to HVAC and compressed air systems.Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Analyze system performance data (pressure, temperature, energy consumption) to identify efficiency improvements.Implement energy-saving initiatives (variable-frequency drives, heat recovery loops).Prepare and present monthly KPI reports (MTBF, MTTR, uptime, energy usage, specific energy consumption)Budgeting & Reporting
Prepare and manage budgets (Capex and Revenue) for O&M activities including manpower, spares, consumables and technology obsolescence management.Generate periodic reports on system performance, downtime, energy savings, cost analysis. MTBF, MTTR, System efficiency and operational & Resource efficiency.Handling special budget for energy conservation projects in this fieldRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and related field.Minimum 7–10 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC and air compressor systems, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Deep understanding of HVAC controls, air handling units, chillers, Air compressors, and air distribution systems.Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), and energy efficiency best practices.Knowledge of OSHA standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and ISO certification processes is a plus.Key Skills:
