Job Description

The purpose of this position translate requirement of finished products into component requirements for individual subvalue stream and procured parts, synchronize material availability, coordinate production and facilitate timely delivery of finished products to customers.

Material Requirement Planning: Consolidate product demands from internal stakeholders, plan and release component schedules to define component requirements from sub-valuestreams as well as material from external vendors or workbenches to ensure optimum performance of the production system and ensure customer delivery fulfilment. KPI: Release of levelled production plan

Production Co-Ordination: Track and report production performance on shift-basis, proactively identify challenges or bottlenecks, promptly recognise delays, coordinate with production team to adapt schedule & resources, define a recovery plan or escalate issues for required intervention to ensure rhythmic production.      KPI: Delivery fulfillment

Customer Escalation Management: Receive and assess customer escalations, review & decide options to prioritise, adapt and expedite fulfilment of customer needs. Organise receiving and processing of customer returns products to requalify or restore product functionality and redispatch to customer. KPI: No customer line stoppage, minimum blocked stock

Inventory Management: Track, manage, reconcile and control inventory levels throughout the production area to avoid shortages, non-moving or scrapping of parts. Ensure physical volume of material in the shop floor is reflected in SAP to avoid inventorying discrepancy. KPI: WIP, Zero discrepancy

Stocktaking: Liase with the controlling & manufacturing team, organise, conduct and supervise the statutory stocktaking process in the value stream to physically confirm the inventories represented in business accounting. Conduct reconciliation of discrepancies, plan measures to eliminate root causes for discrepancies. KPI:Completion of stocktaking and reconciliation of discrepancy

Management Reporting: Compile, consolidate and report shopfloor deliverables e.g. production OCM qty, levelling, WIP etc, to enable management to visualise actual performance e.g. cost review, inventory, order tracking, etc. and to accordingly steer business performance. KPI: SQCD tracking and fulfilment

Product Data Management: Review and administer MRP related data in SAP to ensure operational and cost management. KPI: System based order planning and fulfilment

Lean Management :Monitor change in customer demands and adapt lean management principles e.g., supermarket calculation & kanban cards, VSP kaizen identification, etc, to enable productivity and efficiency improvement. KPI: System based order planning and fulfilment

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical or industrial production)

Experience: 2+ years work experience in a production planning role

Knowledge

Competent Production planning knowledge and understanding of lean concept.Competent Knowledge of Inventory (WIP). Competent Knowledge of lean manufacturing like BPS or TPS

Functional Skills

Competent skills in ERP like SAP, material management and production planning modulesCompetent Leveling tools like ProCon or Niv+Competent communication skills (English and local language)
