Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end digital transformation and PMO for large capital projects in metals & mining—covering planning, execution, governance, and benefits realization. You will drive adoption of digital/AI solutions (e.g., 5D BIM, advanced scheduling & risk analytics, drone/LiDAR-based progress tracking, IoT geo-fencing for materials, digital twins, and GenAI assistants for controls and reporting) to deliver measurable improvements in time, cost, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

A. PMO & Governance

Establish and run the PMO: stage-gate governance, change control, RACI, decision logs, and escalation paths.

Build/maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); perform critical path and whatif analyses; lead schedule compression strategies.

Implement Cost Controls (budget phasing, EVM with CPI/SPI), forecast-at-completion (FAC), variance analysis, and executive reporting.

Drive Risk & Safety Management: risk registers, mitigations, contingency strategies, and safety audits with digital/AI insights.

Oversee Quality Management: ITPs, NCR/CPAR workflows, vendor surveillance; ensure compliance with OISD/PNGRB/PESO/CEIG and applicable codes.

B. Procurement & Supply Chain

Own procurement management: sourcing strategy, bid evaluation, contracts/Change Orders/EOTs, LDs/incentives.

Run performance reviews for contractors and material vendors; track delivery performance and expediting.

Implement Digital Storage & Logistics Management (IoT + geo-fencing) for traceability, install-readiness, and exception alerts.

C. Digital/AI Transformation

Define the digital roadmap and success metrics; orchestrate adoption of:

5D BIM (cost + schedule integration) and model-based quantity management.

Advanced scheduling & risk analytics (constraint-based planning, scenario simulation, Monte Carlo).

Drone/LiDAR for volumetrics and progress; CV-based safety/compliance monitoring.

Power BI/Tableau control towers; GenAI copilots for reports, risk registers, and stakeholder communications.

Digital twins/IoT for real-time asset & utility dashboards (energy, ETP, utilities).

Ensure cybersecurity and data governance for TAS/PLC/SCADA integrations.

D. Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership

Act as client-facing lead for multibilliondollar programs (mine expansion, beneficiation, smelters, ports/terminals, rail logistics).

Lead multi-disciplinary teams (civil/mech/electrical/instrumentation, digital, safety, QA/QC); coach Associates/Sr Associates.

Manage benefits realization; track KPIs tied to business case (throughput, cost, schedule predictability).

Required Qualifications & Experience

6–8 years relevant experience in construction + metals/mining + PMO consulting across capex projects.

PMP® certification (mandatory).

M.Tech (NICMAR) preferred (Construction/Project Management).

Alternatively, BE/B.Tech (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) + MBA with strong project/PMO track record.

Demonstrated hands-on with at least 3 of: Primavera/MS Project, Power BI/Tableau, BIM (Navisworks/Revit/Synchro), Drone/LiDAR workflows, EVM, IoT/SCADA/TAS integrations, GenAI copilots.

Strong commercial acumen (contracts, claims/changes, LDs), regulatory familiarity (PESO/CEIG/environmental permits).

Core Skills

Program governance, PMO operations, EVM, schedule & cost assurance, risk management.

Digital solutioning & change management; stakeholder management at CXO/plant head level.

Excellent communication; executive reporting; proposal support/presales a plus.
