Job Description & Summary: A career within Technology Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to bring our clients a competitive advantage through defining their technology objectives, assessing solution options, and devising architectural solutions that help them achieve both strategic goals and meet operational requirements. We help build software and design data platforms, manage large volumes of client data, develop compliance procedures for data management, and continually researching new technologies to drive innovation and sustainable change.
Responsibilities:
· Set up technical standards and governance structure for the enterprise.
· To provide technology architecture expertise and guidance across multiple business divisions & technology domains.
· Assist business strategy and accordingly drive technology strategy from an architecture perspective.
· Setting up technical standards, formulation of Enterprise Architecture (EA) Governance Framework.
· Driving technology strategy from an architecture perspective, across a portfolio of applications in the Bank, for resource optimization and Risk mitigation.
· Translating business requirements into specific system, application or process designs, including working with business personnel and executives to identify functional requirements.
· Define/ maintain Target Architectures in Roadmaps.
· Lead and/or assist efforts to scope and architect major change programs, leading
· strategic options analysis & proposing end-to-end solutions & highlighting tradeoffs.
· Review ongoing designs of major programs to identify strategic opportunities and resolve design issues during delivery.
· Identify key technology enablers to optimize IT investment.
· Develop highly complex solutions that exemplifies quality optimization regarding reliability, availability, scalability, manageability, flexibility, usability/ reusability, and high performance.
· Deliver Architecture solutions in a Banking environment at the highest-level technical expertise.
· Lead other IT Architects to provide effective consulting on complex projects including RFP technical evaluations for various business domain.
· Lead multifunctional teams in successful application of methodologies and architecture modelling tools.
· As an architect the person would be responsible for suggestion and implementation of new technologies.
· Collaborate with key stakeholders in IT infra domain, IT-vendors, and other architects to achieve enterprise business goals.
· The Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible for maturing and extending data management, data engineering, metadata management, Data warehouse, Data Lake and Data virtualization/fabric solutions across the organization. By combining a strong technical background with a solid understanding of market trends, the IT Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering projects and enhancements across the Enterprise Data Platform.
· Evaluate current state architecture and recommend and implement changes with a focus on modernization of Data integration (ETL, ELT, API / ESB) and Data Virtualization solutions.
· Combine business needs, vendor roadmaps and technology trends to develop Enterprise Data Management platforms and product roadmaps and future state architecture diagrams for the bank based on their roadmap.
· Mitigate issues related to data quality
· Provide technical and architectural guidance to projects, teams, and service providers, ensuring that new initiatives enable effective and scalable data storage, data engineering and data analysis capabilities
· Participate in architectural review boards, evaluations of data and analytics solutions/COTS products, and technologies
· Research, recommend and pilot tools and process changes to drive quality and efficiency across the solution development lifecycle
· Act as a thought leader on industry trends, emerging data management capabilities (such as enterprise Data Lake) and technologies (cloud platforms) and potential use for various existing and potential Customers.
· Any other tasks as deemed necessary by the Bank.
Mandatory skill sets:
Minimum 12 years experience in IT field after completion of under graduation, out of which minimum 5 years should be in Data Architect role. Minimum 5 years in Banking / Financial Sector
Mandatory Certifications (Anyone):
· DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) · Oracle Certified Master: Oracle Database 12c Administrator · Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate · MySQL Database Administrator Certification · MongoDB Certified DBA Associate · Cassandra Certified Developer/ Administrator · Redis Certified Developer · IBM Certified Database Administrator – DB2.
In depth knowledge of data reconciliation, storage (capacity planning), lineage using
· different tools
· Ability to design both the logical and physical aspects of databases.
· Understanding how to normalize data to reduce redundancy and ensure data
· integrity, and when to de-normalize for performance optimization.
· Proficiency in creating Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and other data models.
· RDBMS (Relational DBMS): Expertise in relational databases such as:
o Oracle
o SQL Server
o MySQL
o PostgreSQL
· NoSQL DBMS: Knowledge of NoSQL databases like:
o MongoDB
o Cassandra
o Couchbase
o Redis
· Cloud Databases: Familiarity with cloud-native databases such as:
o Amazon RDS
o Google Cloud Firestore
o Azure SQL Database
· Having skills in migration of logical DWH from one stack to another.
· A proven track record of setting up massively scalable, always-on, multiregional
o data systems.
· Expertise in relational databases and NoSQL data storage technologies like Oracle,
o Postgres, SQL server, Azure SQL, MongoDB, etc.
· Proficiency in query optimization and performance tuning.
· Securing data and databases with encryption, access control, and audit logging.
· Identifying and resolving bottlenecks to improve database performance.
· Implementing caching strategies for high-performance applications (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
· Familiarity with tools like Ansible or Terraform for database provisioning and management.
· Understanding the principles of distributed database architecture, consistency, availability, and partition tolerance (CAP theorem).
· Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize system performance.
· Strong knowledge of DWH technologies etc., Netezza, including its architecture and optimization.
· Expertise in data modelling, design and data visualization skills.
· Data management and migration skills.
· Ability to train teams and prepare presentations. Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
· Deep understanding of on-premise private cloud deployment model
Preferred skill sets:
Knowledge and experience in IBM stack, Teradata/SAP/Oracle stack etc will be preferred.
· Knowledge of reporting tools like IBM Cognos, Tableau, Power BI etc.
Years of experience required:
