Job DescriptionJob Summary:
Responsible for optimizing manufacturing (Assembly and testing) processes, ensuring efficient production flow, maintaining high product quality, and reducing operational costs. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to achieve production targets and support the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Value Stream Supervision:Shift planning of the associates to ensure daily production goals Ensure SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery) targets are achieved for assigned areas of responsibilityMonitor adherence to shop floor work standards for all operations within area of responsibilityWorkforce ManagementProcess Optimization & Improvement:Analyze existing production processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, quality, and safety.Implement lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen,..) to eliminate waste and streamline operations in value stream.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cycle time, rejection rate etc.Develop and update work instructions.Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations promptly.Work with maintenance and other teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.Quality Assurance & Control:Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure products meet specified quality standards.Implement and adhere in-process quality checks and controls.Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement solutions to reduce defects.Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plan development.Safety & Compliance:Ensure all production activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.Promote a culture of safety and identify potential hazards within the production area.Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize material flow and reduce lead times.Train production associates on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.Co-ordinate with cross functional departments to ensure Value Steam KPIs are metQualificationsEssential Educational Qualification: B.E Mechanical
