Import Specialist


Job Description:

Receives export documentation from the country of origin for review and processes import documents in strict compliance with applicable tariff and non-tariff regulations.Provides the required information to both the U.S. and Mexican customs brokers to determine the correct tariff classification.Prepares the export invoice.Provides the Mexican customs broker/representative with the necessary information to consolidate export declarations.Verifies compliance with import requirements such as import permits, import taxes, transportation requirements, and labeling (in the case of chemicals).Coordinates border crossing with carriers.Requests and authorizes customs documents for importation.Follows up on reports of irregularities detected in the process.Updates the import database.Reviews payment of foreign trade duties.Processes import permits with COFEPRIS.Processes permits under Rule 8va.Processes permits with SEMARNAT.Receives and reviews documentation from customs brokers.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in international commerce, Business Administration, 
English 65%.
