We are seeking an Import Export Analyst to play a key role in managing duty drawback processes and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
ResponsibilitiesReview shipping records, customs entries, and commercial invoices to determine duty drawback eligibility and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Compile supporting documentation, calculate potential refunds, and submit claims to customs authorities accurately and timely.Stay current on U.S. Customs and international trade regulations to ensure claims meet all legal standards and reduce compliance risks.Collaborate with logistics, finance, and compliance teams to streamline claim processes and resolve discrepancies or documentation gaps.Organize and update records of all drawback-related activities and generate reports to track performance and recovery metrics.Essential SkillsUnderstanding of Duty Drawback: Knowledge of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) duty drawback program and its various components.Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as those related to import/export procedures, HTS codes, and valuation.Strong Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and calculate refund amounts.Communication Skills: Effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.Strong Attention to Detail: Accuracy in preparing and submitting claims is crucial.Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the drawback process.Additional Skills & Qualifications2 years of import/export related experience.AA Degree (2 years college) preferred.Work EnvironmentThis role is based onsite in Carlsbad, where you will collaborate closely with logistics, finance, and compliance teams. The environment is professional and engaging, with daily interactions with leadership. The company is a private entity, boasting a 1,400 sq. ft. building, and employs 798 people worldwide, with several hundred at the headquarters. The position includes occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $86000.00/yr.
