3. Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in International Trade, Import and Export, or equivalent.
4. Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, International Relations, or a related administrative field, or equivalent.
5. Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Customs Laws (Mexico, United States) preferred.
• Knowledge of the TIGIE (General Import and Export Tax Law).
• Knowledge of the Customs Program (Vastera).
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Communication skills, timely conflict resolution, and decision-making.
• Knowledge of U.S. customs law.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Is responsible for the activities assigned by the Comptroller and IMEX Manager/Coordinator.
• Is responsible for the full compliance with the Area Manager's assignments.
• Is responsible for requesting extensions for the PROSEC program to reduce import taxes.
• Conducts physical audits of products to be imported and exported, such as machinery, equipment, etc.
• Processes import invoices for temporary and permanent materials, machinery, and tools. • Processes export invoices for temporary and permanent finished products, waste, machinery, etc.
• Maintains the "Vastera" Import-Export System. Enters new items, part numbers, and raw material components (bill of materials), and generates various reports.
• Controls, reviews, and generates raw material balance reports according to customs time periods (18 months).
• Is responsible for the physical inventory of machinery compared to the documented inventory.
