Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.
Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
Successful completion of a fully accredited (full accreditation means the training program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of AlliedHealth Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a similar, nationally recognized,accrediting agency), training program in the pertinent modality for which the employee is being hired. Successful and valid registration/certification by a nationally recognized accrediting agency;in the specific modality for which the employee was hired. One or more years of experience in the specific modality for which the candidate is being considered. Modality specific advanced level registry must be obtained within twelve months of hire date. Should any of the above requirements (completion of the program or achieving registration/certification) not be obtained,in the specified timeframe, a single three month extension may be considered and granted at the discretion of the management. Must be experienced in operating equipment and evaluating images obtained, including anatomy and pathology so that additional images in varying positions may be obtained if necessary for correct diagnosis. One or more years of experience.Basic Life Support - CPRMust have one of the following: registry or certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RG ARRT, CT ARRT, CT CATTECH, CT MMRT, CT MRITECH, CT XRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board CT NMT or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers RG ARDMSPlease be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
