Imaging Technician **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:** + **Work Location: Hollywood, CA** + Shift: 2PM - 10:30PM + **Pay Rate: $23/hr** + **Identified Candidate must be** **familiar with Fadgi standards** + **Identified Candidate will need to pass a background check and Drug test prior to starting** + This is a temporary position as the project will be ending in 6 months to 1 year. **ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:** Iron Mountain Entertainment Services (IMES) is seeking an Imaging Technician with direct industry experience in handling and processing photographic formats, obsolete images and 2D assets. This role will take direction from the Studio Manager and work closely with the imaging and project management team to successfully complete client requests up through delivery. The role requires a fundamental understanding of image file formats and the tools used for manipulation/conversions of assets into digital files. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** ● Point of contact for imaging information exchange with clients and internal teams. ● Image asset migration (digitization), restoration, remediation and reformat in the digital studio space ● Troubleshoot, calibrate and general maintenance/upkeep of existing equipment ● Recommend and test new and used equipment (hardware and software) including software version, driver and firmware update management YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: ● Familiarity with photographic media formats including, but not limited to: negatives, positives, transparencies, glass plates, slides, and posters ● Working knowledge of multiple Digital Workstations (DW) platforms (MAC/PC) including but not limited to: PhotoShop, Photo Mechanic, Adobe Acrobat, FileMaker and LightRoom ● Familiarity with rich media archive organization, inventory and tracking ● Familiarity of restoration and the ability to identify deterioration and recommend/execute remediation for safe digital capture. ● Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task and work with tight delivery deadlines ● Exceptional capabilities tied to effective collaboration, communication, listening, negotiation, assertiveness, self-management, and accountability is expected.This position requires daily interaction and with individuals in a studio and business environment to deliver on goals. ● A Bachelor Degree or Certificate from an accredited mult-media, film, photojournalism, graphics, archive management school or technical program is highly preferred but not required. ● Membership and participation with local and national technical associations such as: The American Photography Archives Group (APAG), The International Center of Photography (ICP), Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists (ARCS), Society of American Archivists (SAA) is encouraged WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? ● Be part of an ever evolving global organization focused on partnering with clients to protect and activate their media archives, preserving our collective cultural heritage ● Have a support system where you have a safe place to voice your opinion and share feedback ● Open space to be creative, strategize, brainstorm, and plan for the future success of Iron Mountain Entertainment Services ● Global connectivity to learn from 26,000+ teammates across 52 countries Business Group: Entertainment Services Job Profile Title: Imaging Technician, Ent Svcs Reasonably expected salary range: $49,700.00 - $62,100.00 Category: Operations Group Iron Mountain is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
