IGBT Fault Diagnosis & Repair expert

If you desire to be part of something special, to be part of a winning team, to be part of a fun team – winning is fun. We are looking forward to a IGBT Fault Diagnosis & Repair expert in Eaton’s electrical business, based in Shenzhen, China. In Eaton, making our work exciting, engaging, meaningful; ensuring safety, health, wellness; and being a model of inclusion & diversity are already embedded in who we are - it’s in our values, part of our vision, and our clearly defined aspirational goals.

What you’ll do: IGBT Fault Diagnosis & Technical SupportConduct fault analysis and diagnostics for IGBT components used in UPS and power modules, identify failure mechanisms, and propose repair solutions.Utilize diagnostic tools such as double-pulse test platforms, infrared thermal imaging, and SEM (scanning electron microscopy) to locate faults and determine root causes.Analyze the interaction between IGBT failures and drive/protection circuits, supporting system-level troubleshooting.Data Center Scenario AdaptationHandle IGBT fault cases in data center power modules, addressing issues such as thermal aging under high power density and insulation resistance degradation due to coolant contact.Provide recommendations on IGBT selection and performance evaluation tailored to data center requirements, including overload capability, EMC compliance, and low-temperature startup characteristics.Cross-Team Collaboration & Repair ImplementationCollaborate with UPS system teams to optimize protection logic and response mechanisms related to IGBT failures.Guide external vendors on repair processes (e.g., re-soldering temperature control, silicone gel insulation treatment) to ensure repaired modules meet data center reliability standards.Qualifications: Technical ExpertiseOver 8 years of experience in IGBT R&D, testing, or fault diagnosis for UPS or power modules.Proficient in mainstream IGBT models (e.g., Infineon FF450R12ME4, onsemi NGB1200XX series), including electrical characteristics and failure mechanisms.Skilled in diagnostic tools and methods such as double-pulse testing, thermal imaging, and SEM analysis.Data Center Application ExperienceProven track record with 10+ IGBT fault cases in data center environments.Familiar with data center-specific IGBT requirements, including 150% overload for 15 minutes, EMC compliance, and operation in -5℃ to 40℃ conditions.Communication & Collaboration SkillsCapable of producing fault analysis reports and communicating effectively with system teams.Able to instruct external vendors on repair techniques and ensure post-repair reliability.

Yes! Because you are the one we are looking for, we hope to hear from you now!
