About the Role
This Senior Maintenance Engineer role is part of a major project supporting operations for a leading energy company in Perth. The position will contribute directly to the maintenance and reliability efforts of assets under the client's portfolio.
Position: Commissioning Engineer – Instrument & Controls
Project: Yuri Hydrogen Project
Location: Karratha
Roster: 2/1, working 10.5 hr days + 30mins unpaid break
Indicative Term of Contract: 6 months
Key Criteria: Looking for someone a bit more controls based, but is aware of instrument functioning With controls systems experience : The main automation contractor is Yokogawa – they are providing the ICS. The bulk of the controls is within Schneider PLCs. Looking for experience with completions management Field instrument commissioning experience Experience writing work packs and procedures
Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant trade certified TBOSIET, MSIC & CAEB training (current) Proven track record of planning, preparing and executing commissioning scopes and/or shutdowns. Demonstrate knowledge of multi discipline specifications, rules and regulations Proven track record in managing multidiscipline teams of onshore workers Sound commercial acumen Familiar with blue collar industrial relations management Construction professional with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in onshore Oil and Gas Projects Strong Brownfields experience onshore facilities, construction and commissioning ways of working Experienced multi discipline commissioning engineer
Accountabilities
Instrument & Controls Duties Lead integrated control system and instrument commissioning engineer Responsible for managing control system changes, FAT Responsible for control system testing and commissioning Responsible for isolations & FBMI identification for onshore workscopes Responsible for execution of work packs Responsible for resolution of site queries Responsible for supporting module power and process start-up Responsible for managing ISCC MAC subcontractor Responsible for interfacing with control system engineers and technical authorities
General Duties Participate in schedule and execution development to ensure the schedule is realistic and achievable for project portfolio Take accountability for onshore manning plan and participate in the selection and recruitment of discipline teams Provide direction, guidance and leadership to all members of the teams Provide Leadership to achieve QHSE behaviors and culture to meet agreed targets Ensure hazard assessment and Job Safety Analysis completed are in line with project requirements Effectively manage, coordinate and communicate scope and schedule requirements to the work teams Liaise and co-ordinates with onshore management team to drive onshore schedule Liaise and co-ordinate with the onshore support teams to support the commissioning activities Assigning of resources to WP creation and expediting of WPs, ensure work readiness to complete the work scopes according to the schedule, Review at IDC/Rev A/Rev 0 issue of WPs Expedite all necessary resources, materials, tools & equipment to achieve schedule Input/review of manhour/duration estimation for activities for onshore schedule Expediting of Software FATs Review and approval of sparing Provision of applicable spares registers for RFI milestones and expediting of procurement/logistics for such Review of Supplier documentation particularly around FAT/ onshore SAT procedures Expedite and input to Vendor mobilisation contracts for onshore scopes Interface with client Commissioning Focal point and Project PIC for philosophy/ technical discussions Organise, prepare and implement Pre-commissioning & Commissioning HAZID including presentation, reporting etc Monitor and expedite punch closure Review and revise CCLBDs as required Attend meetings for progress/information/actioning – incl Morning Calls, Construction Weekly, Client Joint Calls, RFI (“drumbeat”) meetings provide input and estimation for VO creation and submittals provide input to progress reporting
