General Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of IC package carriers throughout the product lifecycle.   This role requires a thorough understanding of packaging materials, processes, and quality assurance techniques.   The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, engineering teams and manufacturing to drive the quality improvements and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control plan and methodologies for IC package carriers to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.Conduct quality assessments and audits of packaging processes to ensure adherence to internal quality standards and external regulations.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and procurement teams to evaluate performance of packaging materials to fit all products.Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality requirements for all qualified package materials.Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., JEDEC) and relevant regulatory requirements related to IC packaging.Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and analyze suppliers' quality KPIs and scorecards, focusing on continuous improvement.Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in IC packaging technology and materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).Minimum 4 years of experience in supplier quality or packaging material development in the assembly & test industry.Must be fluent in English.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Minimum travel to supplier locations as required.
