These consultants utilize technologies such as IBM PowerHA SystemMirror to build resilient infrastructures that ensure uninterrupted access to mission-critical applications and data. By leveraging clustering, failover automation, and recovery processes, they help client organizations achieve their business continuity and disaster recovery objectives. ------------------------- Core Responsibilities 1. Assessment & Planning * Analyze business requirements and design tailored HA strategies. * Recommend optimal PowerHA configurations, including data mirroring, site-to-site replication, and Power HA Tools for IBMi 2. Implementation & Configuration * Build and configure HA clusters. * Set up shared storage, Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (IASPs), and resource groups to support high availability. 3. Deployment & Migration * Lead migrations of applications and data to IASPs. * Deploy HA solutions across on-premises systems and cloud environments.
