Position Description:

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a "IBM Mainframe Specialist" in our Banking Services Division.

We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Specialist with 8–10 years of hands-on expertise in mainframe technologies and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.  

Location - Downtown (Hybrid - 3 to 4 days office and remaining remote)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on IBM Mainframe platforms, including Z15 architecture.
• Manage and optimize transaction processing using CICS, messaging middleware with MQ, and database/transaction management through IMS.
• Write and maintain programs using COBOL, JCL, and related mainframe languages.
• Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise applications and messaging solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8–10 years of experience in IBM Mainframe environments.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Mainframe Z15 architecture.
• Expertise in CICS, MQ, IMS, COBOL, and JCL.
• Proven experience in system performance tuning and issue resolution.
• Solid understanding of enterprise application integration and messaging solutions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Language: English (bilingual in English and French is an asset).
