Global Risk and Security (GR&S) at Vanguard enables business strategy, protects client and Vanguard interests (e.g., assets and data), and stewards a strong risk culture. Our teams leverage enterprise-wide insights, deep expertise, and trusted advice so that across Vanguard leaders and crew drive faster, stronger, risk-informed decisions.

 

Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. We are the trusted advisors that protect the pride of Vanguard with state-of-the-art security and fraud capabilities.

 

The Cloud Security Engineer – Security Testing & Automation will provide expert level technical support designing, implementing, and maintaining security testing and identity analytics solutions. Identifies, resolves, or escalates security and software opportunities, vulnerabilities, and defects.

 

 

In this role, you will:

 

Plan and implement security testing at scale, across internet facing Identity & Access Management systems. Expertise in Consumer IAM workflows. Build and execute functional and performance test suites for automated and repetitive testing capabilities using tools like ReadyAPI or Bruno. Research emerging security threats and develop test cases to prevent security vulnerabilities. Maintain a high level of industry knowledge on secure login workflows. Partner with developers to provide closed loop feedback on development practices, to raise the overall bar on testing. Develop automated test cases execution for functional and performance testing. Provide guidance and consultation as required to improve overall test data management, test data creation and usage. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

What it takes:

 

Minimum of five years’ experience in security testing and test automation. Experience in building Information Security test suites. Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
