IAM Manager

About the team

Angi is seeking an experienced IAM Manager to lead our talented team of engineers. This role is responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and operational excellence of our IAM team, which is centered on the Okta platform.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong technical foundation in modern IAM solutions and a passion for agile development. You will be responsible for mentoring the team, defining the product roadmap, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and iterative delivery. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Security, Compliance, Engineering, and HR to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly identity solutions that support Angi's business objectives.

What you’ll do

Leadership & Strategy

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IAM engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. Define and own the strategic roadmap for the IAM program, aligning with business goals, security requirements, and technology advancements. Drive the architectural vision for our identity ecosystem, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability with a focus on zero trust and least-privilege principles. Manage resource allocation, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback and career development opportunities for your team.

Agile Program Management

Lead the IAM team using Agile methodologies to ensure the timely and iterative delivery of high-value projects and features. Manage the product backlog for IAM initiatives, working with stakeholders to prioritize work, define user stories, and establish clear acceptance criteria. Champion a culture of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and automation within the IAM space. Work with Team TPM to facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to drive transparency and continuous improvement.

Technical Oversight & Governance

Oversee the management of our Okta environment, guiding the team on best practices for Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Universal Directory, and API integrations. Ensure the robust implementation of modern authentication and authorization standards, including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC. Guide the architectural design of automated user lifecycle management processes and complex Okta Workflows. Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert for complex IAM-related issues, providing architectural guidance and support.

Collaboration & Compliance

Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure IAM solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and to streamline access reviews and audits. Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into a technical IAM strategy and communicate program status, risks, and successes.
