Sun Life US is seeking a dynamic and experienced Change Coordinator to join our IT Department. This role will be instrumental in managing and improving our change management processes while also contributing to our configuration management efforts.

Preferred skills

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience coordinating changes/projects in the IT sector

Advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple concurrent change requests in a fast-paced environment

Experience working with geographically dispersed teams

Qualifications

ITIL certification or relevant experience

Project management certification or experience

Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools

Responsibilities

Change Management

Advocate for enterprise wide change management processes within the Sun Life US I.T. Department

Communicate changes in processes and tools to the IT organization

Train and support IT staff on change management best practices

Collaborate with management to enhance current change management processes

Review and approve upcoming change requests

Facilitate technical implementation plan review meetings

Coordinate with release management for large-scale system deployments

Produce monthly KPIs for change requests

Configuration Management

Advocate for updates to the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for Sun Life U.S. Application Configuration Items (CIs)

Work with I.T. application owners to maintain compliance of application CIs

Manage the lifecycle of CIs, including requesting new CIs, maintaining existing ones, and retiring obsolete items

Produce monthly KPIs for Configuration Items

Infrastructure Change Impact Management

Coordinate with infrastructure teams to minimize the impact of changes on Sun Life US applications

Communicate infrastructure changes to relevant IT stakeholders

Ensure appropriate validation efforts are scheduled
