Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a I&E Planner to join our Project Controls Team in Houston, Texas and be placed at a jobsite in Notrees, TX or the surrounding area. As a I&E Planner you will need relevant experience with electrical systems, pneumatics motor controls, DCS controls, power panels, instrumentation components and control valves. Your responsibilities may include walking down job scope requests, estimating labor hours, developing work plans, creating job plan packages, preparing, and completing estimates. The candidate may be asked to plan Maintenance, Turnarounds, Small Capital Projects, or a combination of the three. \n

Essential Qualifications:\n\nFour (2) years of field planning experience in any combination of industrial maintenance, capital projects and\/or outages and turnarounds\nFour (4) years of jobsite mechanical craft experience or BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related curriculum\nNCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction, maintenance or turnarounds is an additional benefit\nDevelop job plans for all maintenance and turnaround I&E work, estimates time and resources, duration, and assist with scheduling I&E work\nTroubleshooting and estimating the repairing, and installing of DCS, PLC and HMI components, Motors, A\/C and D\/C VFD's, electrical circuits, HV switches, and MCC starters\nTroubleshooting and estimating the repairing, replacing, and installing conduit, wiring and electrical equipment\nTroubleshooting and estimating the calibration, replacing, rebuilding, and installing instrumentation components and loop checks\nTroubleshoot process upsets\nAbility to estimate material and labor quantities from industrial construction drawings for multiple craft disciplines\nMust be proficient in computer-based MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)\nPreferred experience in planning software applications. Functional Requirements:\n
Review specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work required contents of estimate; prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work, material, outside services and sub-contractors; review and incorporate historical data into a number of resources and man-hours estimates; estimate extras, change orders, and discovery work items; maintain files of working documents and backup estimate figures; use client Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to identify upcoming installations, maintenance, and repairs; estimate scope of work in terms of direct craft labor hours and duration; preform material take-offs for repair or replace-in-kind work; determine resource and skill requirements for scope of work; document expectations for resource utilization and timing in client ERP system; determine options for scope of work and present scenarios of compatible work packages or combinations of similar scope to the client; document change orders request for deviations on drawings, changes in the field conditions, or engineering busts; perform job-walks and collaboratively with respective discipline Subject Matter; experts to develop job steps (activities), craft breakdown and man-hours required; assists with planning\/scheduling effort for major plant turn-around and equipment overhauls; support maintenance with all I&E documentation\n
