Expected pay for this position is $21.93 - $25.80/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Hyperbaric Technician will act as the Hyperbaric Safety Director and administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider. The Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, as well as for the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the hyperbaric patient. The Hyperbaric Technician is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems and serves as the point person for assessment of materials that are appropriate for use in and around hyperbaric chambers.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 2 years of acute clinical experience

Licensure/Certifications:

- Must have one of the following: RN or LPN or LRCP Certified or Registered Medical Assistant

- CMA certification by the American Association of Medical Assistances, American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Center for Competency Testing or National Healthcare Association. National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), American Allied Health (AAH).

- Completion of Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course, as approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology, Department of Defense, American College of Hyperbaric Medicine or Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society within 30 days of hire.

- Must have one certification (based on credentials hired) within 2 years of hire. Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (RN, LPN, CMA) Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (RN) Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (RN, LPN, CMA) Certified Hyperbaric Wound Specialist (RN, LPN, CMA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: BSN

Experience: Experience in the care of patients with chronic wounds and/or experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic Licensure/Certifications: RN, LPN

Other skills/knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
