Hyperbaric Technician Per Diem Days Position Summary

The hyperbaric tech position will be responsible for operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with general clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operating monoplace hyperbaric chambers and ensuring their safe and proper functioning.

-Prepare patients for hyperbaric therapy by explaining procedures and answering questions.

-Accurately assessing patient’s physical condition pre and post treatment.

-Monitoring patients during treatments.

-Maintaining accurate records of treatments, patient progress, and equipment usage.

-Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hyperbaric equipment

-Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement treatment plans.

-Ensure compliance with safety regulation and protocols related to hyperbaric therapy.

-Educate patient and families about the benefits and risks of hyperbaric therapy.

HYPERBARIC TECHNICIAN PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of Hyperbaric Medicine

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Requires basic EMT, respiratory therapy, nursing assistant training, or prior military experience in hyperbaric medicine. Certification from an approved hyperbaric course.
