Responsibilities

Administer hyperbaric treatments to patients under the supervision of a physician.

Operate and maintain hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under supervision of program director or clinical coordinator.Monitor patients in the chamber and record patient condition. Ensure patient comfort and report any unusual occurrences.Maintain operating, maintenance and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment.Keep patient treatment records and collect data as required.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.One or more of the following required:
Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Certified Hyperbaric Tech credentialed from the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

 High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences

Preferred 2+ years working in the medical field as a CHT, EMT-B, Paramedic, or LPN

 

Be certified and/or licensed in one of the following vocations:
o Respiratory Therapist
o EMT
o Paramedic
o LPN
o Medical Assistant
o Military Corpsman
o Diving Medical Technician
