Hygiene Duty Officer

To manage hygiene department with an efficient team of cleaning staff and provide a high standard of cleaning service. Develop and implement hygiene manual & training module to ensure Food safety, Hygiene standard & Safety measure is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

 

To ensure a continuous clean, safe and hygienic environment is maintained by using highly sophisticated technical equipment's and well-trained manpower.

 

Organize a team to deliver constant supply of clean equipment and maintain hygiene.

Organize regular supply of approved clothing that is mandatory requirement for food safety e.g. disposable gloves, apron, arm sleeves, caps, chemicals and sanitized kitchen equipment's to user departments.

Responsible for identifying and imparting training and development within department

Ensure effective pest control is carried out in coordination with the outsourced pest control contract staff.

Responsible for proper documentation & record of cleaning materials stocks and monthly inventory.

 

Coordinating with Maintenance on escalating daily maintenance issues arising in operational areas, Annual Maintenance contract for cleaning Machinery Production and Operations on daily activities

Various imported and modem machinery is used in the kitchen premises that may malfunction. There will be issues related to damage of floor, ceiling, wall, water pipeline, leakage etc. noticed during cleaning that need to be reported to maintenance and follow up till completed.

 

Cleaning machinery is used in production and operations area e.g., ride on machine, walk behind machine, Jet pressure machine that will have to be periodical maintained and repaired for proper functioning that needs to be communicated with maintenance for annual maintenance and keep records. Any machine that is beyond repairs must be disposed as per asset dispose policy and CMC is raised to order new machine.

 

Induct cleaners with appropriate training in the operation of sensitive & specialized cleaning machinery such as polishers, vacuum cleaners, Floor scrubbers etc., and in safe systems of work. All staff requires training in cleaning kitchen machineries, using cleaning machinery and follow safety measures while handling the machineries. Cleaning officer will prepare training module for every machine as per suppliers’ recommendation and impact the theoretical and practical training to staff. He must prepare schedules for trainings, keep track of staff trained and also organize refresher training

Ensure cleaning staff awareness of any relevant risk Assessments, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and or training required in advance of undertaking any cleaning task.

Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
