Hydrogeologist

We are currently seeking a Hydrogeologist to assist in the development of advanced groundwater solutions in open pit mining environments.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Optimizing dewatering systems and depressurization strategies for active and planned open-pit mines
Analyzing hydrogeological data from monitoring wells, test pits, and boreholes to support design and decision-making
Leading groundwater investigations for regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental risk mitigation
Supervising field activities including well installations, borehole logging, pumping tests, and groundwater sampling
Using advanced 3D modelling tools (MODFLOW, FeFlow, GoldSim) for flow and contaminant transport simulations
Collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects with geotechnical, environmental, and mining professionals
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Must-Haves:
6-10 years of experience in Mining Hydrogeology
P.Eng or P.Geo designation
Previous consulting experience
B.A.Sc. or BSc (or higher) in Geological Engineering/Geology with a focus on Hydrogeology
Advanced data analysis using 3-D numerical flow and contaminant transport models
Experience with GoldSim
An added bonus if you have:
Pit slope depressurization and/or water balance expertise
