We are currently searching for a Hydrocarbon Dispatcher to be based in Aberdeen, UK and work in a 3-month contract.

Job Description:
We are looking for an individual who brings a background in Operations together with strong commercial acumen, to help maximize the value chain in the Southern North Sea (SNS).

The individual will require the ability to work within a small team and have analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably with knowledge of the Sub Terminal Allocation, Commingling and Attribution agreement (STACA).

The position is based within the continuously manned United Kingdom Dispatching and Coordination Centre (UKDCC).

Requirements: Preferably with control room competency, who has effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with diplomacy and an ability to influence others. The individual should possess good analytical skills and the ability to work well within a team across locations, whilst maintaining a strong individual performance. Knowledge of Process Book would be an advantage. Responsibilities: Monitoring the integrity and safety of all interfiled and some intra-field pipelines for which it is the NCC (Nominated Control Centre) Co-ordination and reporting of gas export from Northern and Central installations, third party installations/pipeline systems and onshore plants. Optimizing throughput to maximize company bottom line. Quality specification of gas export. Daily dispatching of nominated sales gas to shippers. Monitoring gas sales quality to National Grid gas infrastructure. Coordination of shutdown and maintenance activities. Initial contact for pipeline / medical emergencies Dimensions. Working within the UKDCC control room are the NNS Dispatcher, SNS Dispatcher and NNS Operator (all shift based positions). Coordination of Integrated Production, Transportation and Delivery infrastructures that form SEGAL, consisting of FGL (Fulmar Gas Line), FLAGS (Far North Liquid and Associated Gas Pipeline), and St Fergus to Mossmorran NGL Pipeline (Unit 3000). 4 Trunk line systems totaling 1600 km, linking 28 offshore and 8 onshore locations. UKDCC activities encompass some 150 gas / NGL sales / purchase / transportation / processing / disposal agreements. Accountabilities:   Work as a team player within the SEGAL Asset acting at all times as a reasonable and prudent operator, maintaining confidentiality whilst securing customer trust. Generate and issue Long Term and weekly forecasting for the STACA system. Preparation and issuing of daily dispatching reports, day ahead forecast for the SNS. Operating the STACA dispatching system including Energy Components and backup sheets. Delivery of the Sole pit nominations through managing the Direct Marketing (DM) process. Execution of daily and monthly hydrocarbon allocation activities. Prompt decisions and timely actions are essential to ensure financial penalties are not incurred. Ensure that voice and data communications are maintained with installations. Where necessary initiate loss of communications procedures. Communicate directly with the company’s assets and the third-party operator of the Sean and Clipper South facilities. Provide the company’s marketing organizations with before the day and within the day gas availability. Participate in Emergency Response exercises adhering to company procedures and Health and Safety Executive requirements. Adhere to contractual time limitations and accuracy of information. Ensure that any suspect pipeline conditions are investigated quickly and actioned as per emergency procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant corporate manuals. Provide out of hours and occasional dayshift support to the Tanker Scheduling team.
