Hydro Blaster Technician
Now Hiring Hydro-Blast Technicians!

Join a dynamic and safety-focused team! As a Hydro-Blast Technician, you will operate high- and low-pressure water blasting equipment (1,000 PSI up to 40,000 PSI) to clean hazardous and non-hazardous materials from a variety of surfaces, including tanks, booths, and other structures. You'll play a vital role in helping our customers maintain clean, safe, and efficient facilities.

Key Responsibilities Low-Pressure Hydro Blasting

Operate hydro-blast equipment under 5,000 PSI to clean equipment, booths, and structures.

Conduct pre-job safety evaluations and communicate safety needs with team members and customers.

Inspect and set up all tools and equipment to ensure proper and safe function.

Use proper PPE at all times as trained.

Adjust water pressure and nozzles for the specific cleaning application.

Follow all operational and safety procedures as instructed by The Budd Group and our clients.

High-Pressure Hydro Blasting & Surface Cleaning

Operate advanced hydro-blasting equipment at pressures up to 40,000 PSI.

Perform detailed site safety evaluations before and after projects.

Set up, operate, and shut down high-pressure systems correctly.

Perform all required pre-start and post-use safety checks.

Use precise techniques and applications to ensure optimal surface cleaning.

Communicate clearly with team members and clients throughout the job process.

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment.

Troubleshoot performance issues and assist with repairs using appropriate tools.

Make necessary adjustments and repairs as needed to keep systems running efficiently.

Ensure proper shutdown and storage of all tools and machinery.

Assist in identifying wear and tear or potential mechanical issues before they escalate.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of experience operating a pressure washer or similar equipment.

Ability to handle a high-pressure blast gun (up to 40,000 PSI) in a variety of physical positions.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Strong understanding of PPE requirements and safety procedures.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols precisely.

Comfortable working in industrial environments, including confined spaces.

Certifications (Required or Willing to Obtain):

Confined Space Entry Certification

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures

High-Pressure Water Blasting Safety Certification

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must wear a reinforced safety suit designed to withstand high-pressure water exposure.

Work may involve standing or walking for long periods, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Exposure to heavy industrial environments and high-noise areas.

Must be able to work safely in confined spaces and at elevated heights when necessary.
