Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Hydraulic Service Manager to lead our Queensland Service team. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, and service growth across the region. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality hydraulic service solutions and building a strong, engaged team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Hydraulic Service team to meet performance, quality, and safety targets.

Promote a positive and safe working environment, ensuring appropriate incident reporting and response measures are in place.

Drive service sales through proactive customer engagement, developing maintenance agreements, and identifying new opportunities.

Monitor and achieve revenue and margin targets while ensuring sustainable and profitable growth of the service function.

Oversee workforce capability and development, ensuring relevant licences, inductions and training records are current.

Manage quality outcomes including lead times, calibration, testing, and continuous improvement actions.

Implement resource planning and strategic initiatives to support long-term growth and team development.

Support interdepartmental collaboration and maintain strong communication across business units.

Qualifications

Trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mechanical or related discipline.

Demonstrated experience managing a technical service or field service team, preferably within the hydraulics or heavy industrial sector.

Strong understanding of service operations including sales, planning, job costing and resource management.

Sound knowledge of HSE responsibilities and quality management processes.

Proven ability to lead, develop and engage high-performing teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in business reporting, performance metrics and planning tools.
