Your Role as a Hydraulics Sales Engineer:

You will be an integral part of our sales team, actively participating in the entire sales process. Your key responsibilities will include:

Driving Revenue: Actively engaging in sales activities to meet and exceed regional revenue goals.Technical Sales and Application Engineering: Providing expert sales and application engineering support to meet and exceed customer expectations.Hydraulic Product Expert: Developing and applying broad hydraulic product knowledge to solve customer challenges.Client Relationship Management: Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, offering both pre and after sales advice, and maintaining a regular call plan for key account customers.Commercial Acumen: Achieving profit margins, demonstrating an understanding of customer specifications and design requirements, identifying commercial and technical risks, and calculating precise customer quotations.Negotiation and Administration: Negotiating tender and contract terms, and efficiently administering customer accounts.Presentation and Promotion: Delivering compelling technical presentations, demonstrating product capabilities, and promoting new electrical and control projects.

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with a unique blend of technical prowess, commercial savvy, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

Educational Excellence: A graduate or master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) combined with a Commerce or International Business qualification.Approximately 2 to 3 years’ experience gained through technical roles, internships, graduate programs, project work, customer engagement, or engineering placements.Exceptional Communication and People Skills: The ability to build strong, lasting relationships with customers, collaborate effectively with internal teams, and present complex technical information clearly and persuasively.Mechanical Aptitude and Commercial Acumen: A natural curiosity for mechanical systems, a keen eye for business opportunities, and the ability to understand customer specifications, identify risks, and negotiate effectively.Proactive and Self Motivated: A drive to achieve sales targets, grow revenue, and continuously seek new challenges.Problem Solving and Detail Oriented: The capability to process customer inquiries efficiently, adhere to sales and QA processes, and manage multiple tasks with continuous prioritisation.Strong Planning and Organisational Skills: The ability to plan and achieve sales targets, maintain customer databases, and develop strategic customer lists.
