We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team with day-to-day operations, focusing on accounts payable and project invoicing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is highly organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnter and process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.Assist in preparing monthly client invoices for various projects.Compile and organize backup documentation for INDOT project audits.Copy and prepare invoice documentation for monthly records, including LPA claims and vouchers.Support the accounting team with data entry, reconciliation, and other administrative tasks as needed.Required Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in Accounting or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Deltek Vision or other project-based accounting software.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Positive attitude, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn and grow.Strong decision-making and leadership potential.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
