**The Opportunity**
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Summer Intern to join the Hyatt Insurance Procurement, Technology, and Finance team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Hyatt Global Risk Management team, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. As part of Hyatt’s Corporate Internship Program, this role delivers a hands-on, skills-based experience designed to accelerate learning, growth, and professional confidence. Interns are embedded within the business, partnering closely with experienced leaders on meaningful, real-world projects that support Hyatt’s strategic priorities. The program includes intentional mentorship, regular feedback, and opportunities to engage across functions—offering a behind-the-scenes look at how a global hospitality company operates. Interns also have the opportunity to connect with Hyatt’s purpose through participation in World of Care initiatives.

**The Role**
The summer intern role for the Hyatt Insurance Procurement, Technology, and Finance team will support the insurance procurement and finance functions for the Hyatt insurance program. This role is ideal for students who are curious, eager to learn, and interested in gaining real-world experience in a corporate hospitality environment in the context of Risk Management.
•Assist with collecting, organizing, and reviewing risk‑related data (e.g., exposures, incidents, claims trends, loss information).
•Support basic analysis and prepare summaries or dashboards for team review.
•Help maintain risk registers, logs, or trackers.
•Support the team with claims or incident documentation (intake reviews, data validation, file organization).
•Assist in preparing reports or presentations related to loss trends and outcomes.
•Shadow team members to understand the insurance renewal lifecycle, claims, and other risk functions.
•Help review documentation related to insurance, contracts, or risk controls for completeness and accuracy.
•Support internal audits, compliance checks, or follow-ups on risk mitigation actions.
•Assist with maintaining policy or procedural documentation.
•Participate in short-term projects focused on improving risk processes, reporting, or communication.
•Help document workflows or create reference materials for the team.
•Support cross-functional initiatives with safety, security, finance, or legal partners.
•Assist in preparing meeting materials, slides, and other communications.
**Qualifications:**
**Experience Required:**
•1 years of experience in the same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role
**Experience Preferred:**
•Associate or bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
•Relevant insurance certification and/ or coursework related to insurance or risk management
•Experience with RMIS systems (e.g., Origami)

**The hourly range for this position is $21.74-$24.00**
