**What You Will Do:**
The HWIL-RF Department is looking for a Master Technician to work with a team of engineers to execute tests within HWIL Laboratories. Assignments will include lab operations, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing electronic, modification of the system for new capabilities, for electronic and mechanical, laboratory and scientific systems within the laboratories.
You will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform prototyping or building of cable and electrical components in support of engineering testing. The candidate will use computer-aided engineering design software to design, update, and release technical data packages. You will learn how to operate the engineering development stations including the use of both Windows and Linux operating systems with a focus on thoroughness and repeatability using documented procedures, as well as assisting in developing new procedures. An understanding of basic RF troubleshooting, integration, and test equipment desired. This position requires a strong desire and ability for working in a team environment within HWIL-RF engineering laboratories completing hardware and software test set up, generating test data, and reviewing test output used by engineers to determine laboratory functionality. **Qualifications You Must Have**
+ AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training, such as military technical training) with a minimum of 10-years relevant technical experience.
+ Experience and understanding of circuit troubleshooting, analysis, and characterization techniques
+ Current secret or higher security clearance with the ability to obtain a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) clearance
+ Basic knowledge of RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, and oscilloscope
+ Active and transferrable US government issued Secret security clearance (not interim) is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for security clearance
+ Ability to obtain a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) security clearance
+ An SSBI security clearance is required for access to sensitive compartmented information and has additional restrictions beyond a Secret security clearance. These include citizenship verification, credit and financial history, check of your spouse, partner or other individuals you cohabitate with, interviews with applicant provided references, a check of foreign contacts, foreign travel, possible foreign financial interest, police investigations, FBI database check, relatives, military history and involvement in noncriminal court actions.
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Experience with operating Windows or Linux operating systems computers
+ Knowledge of equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, and electronics maintenance
+ Knowledge of test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
+ Knowledge of software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages
+ Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
+ Knowledge of CAD software packages (electrical or mechanical)

The salary range for this role is 66,800 USD - 127,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
