We are seeking a Quality & Clinical Documentation Consultant to support key initiatives within cardiovascular quality and program development. In this role, you will oversee the management of cardiovascular quality efforts, contribute to program evaluations, and assist with the establishment of new affiliations while supporting current affiliates in coordination with new consulting business projects. You will also develop and manage processes, measurements, tools, and operational workflows that drive improved services across the cardiovascular portfolio. As part of the HVTI Affiliate Program, this consultant reviews clinical documentation that impacts quality metrics and reimbursement and oversees the management and evaluation of CDI programs across both established and new affiliate sites.

A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m., with two days onsite at Main Campus and three days remotely.
Domestic travel is required, with the potential for international travel as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Oversee management of cardiovascular quality and registries of the national programs and assist with program evaluations and the establishment of new affiliations.
Analyze affiliate/consulting clients’ strengths and weaknesses as they relate to the project plan and targeted outcomes.
Outline initiatives to improve quality/processes and make recommendations for implementation while maintaining awareness of implementation strategies by notifying leadership of risks.
Lead and manage improvement quality projects.
Manage stakeholder relationships, project risks and project changes.
Build relationships with project teams, middle management, and senior sponsors.
Conduct assessments and reviews operational efficiencies and structures at other facilities to determine operational opportunities for improvement of Clinical Cardiovascular Registry and IT capabilities.
Collect and analyze process data to initiate, develop and recommend practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, reduced cost and improved patient outcomes.
Manage changes to ensure the adoption and sustainment of quality improvement.
Provide feedback regarding findings and recommendations during onsite and remote assessments related to process, resources, data integrity, feedback tool/dashboards, and information systems.
Provide affiliates and consulting partners with assistance in the development of physician and department-level quality dashboards.
Define project requirements according to established standards (scope, schedule, resources, budget, and deliverables) and conduct extensive research on pertinent areas.
Flag high-level work plan issues for escalation and monitors procedural compliance. (issue tracking, scope management, etc.)
Participate in assessments and reviews operational efficiencies and structures at other facilities to determine opportunities for improvement of Clinical Cardiovascular Registry and IT capabilities
Establish and document standard project-planning terminology (e.g., phases, milestones, tasks, etc.).
Identify barriers that may make it difficult for Affiliates or Clients to progress with the project goals and objectives.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Five years of experience in an ambulatory or hospital setting with a demonstrated focus on measuring and analyzing data quality
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills, strong problem identification and resolution skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master’s Degree in related field
Clinical expertise in the cardiac care service areas across the continuum
Experience working with cardiac clinical services and team members at all levels
Registered Nurse (RN) in the current state of employment
Five years of experience as clinical nurse and inpatient or outpatient coder
OR five years of experience as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
ICD10-CM, CPT, HCC, and HCPCS inpatient or outpatient coding experience
Cardiac experience
