We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

General and day-to day preparation, adjusting program offsets and parameters,operation, teach pendant modification, maintaining the spray gun, and care for high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spray systemsMaintain and use precision calibrated tools including balances, micrometers, calipers, etc.General upkeep of thermal spray system and all associated areas, including cleaning, organization, inventory management, etc.Assist in creating detailed equipment parameters and setupTrain new personnel as needed and in accordance with lead pay language listed in the CBAObserving all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions

What you need to be successful

Experience with metal powder handling/prep or experience preparing/operating/maintaining air plasma, high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF), or cold spray systemsMust be able to read, understand, and follow detailed technical work instructions and blueprintsUnderstanding and experience in the use of inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)Able to operate in non-temperature-controlled environmentAble to properly handle and use flammable fuels and gasesMust be able to wear a respirator or N95 mask and any relevant PPE associated with handling of heavy metalsExperience in operating robots and teach pendant knowledgeStrong interpersonal and verbal communication skillsPreferred that candidate is familiar with industry robot standard RIA 1506

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Metallic/ceramic coating experience strongly preferredExperience programming and operating ABB robots strongly preferred (Experience with RobotStudio programming software a plus)Ability to multitask and rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging, work environmentFamiliar with (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP/CAMS, bedvueExperience using various types of hand tools and/or power tools

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to wear appropriate PPE for heavy metal exposureAble to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted. Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionMajority of work requires standing for long periods of time
