We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems that control the temperature and air quality in buildings and spaces. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life, performing maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide variety of HVAC units.

To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

HVAC Technician Responsibilities:

**MAINTAIN AND ADHERE TO ALL SAFETY MEASURES**3+ years experience as an HVAC service/install technicianAbility to pass a background check and drug screenAbility to work after hours on weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.Ability to work in confined spaces.Assisting with customers' queries.Climb stairs and ladders – work from heightsCompleting the SAP orders and returning them to the schedulerComplying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirementsDiagnosing and troubleshooting system malfunctions, then performing the appropriate HVAC system repairsEnvironmental Protection Agency (EPA) certificationExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal - excellent customer service skillsFollow regulations regarding the conservation, recovery, and recycling of refrigerantsFunction/Work in extreme temperaturesHigh school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.Install electrical components and wiring related to the HVAC systemsInstalling, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.Lift heavy materials or equipmentMaintaining the repair parts and filter inventoryPerforming emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of HVAC systemsProficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and work plansProperly handle and dispose of fluids and pressurized gasesRecharging refrigerant levels, checking for leaks, and ensuring the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning systemsRecommend maintenance to improve system performanceReplace filters – cleans systems – check and clean condensate drainsREQUIRED STATE LICENSING for HVAC technicians – must meet local codesUnderstanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, and heating.Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $22.53 - $26.50
