Job Description
Join our team in facilities operations, where you will perform general, preventative, and emergency maintenance of facilities equipment. This role requires a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems operation and maintenance. You will operate, diagnose, analyze, and repair industrial HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handling units, VAV systems, hydronic systems, air compressors, air dryers, and exhaust ventilation.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems, including required calibrations as scheduled.Install or repair ductwork, refrigeration piping, air conditioning units, and exhaust equipment.Capable of brazing, soldering, and welding.Possess experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and familiarity with Automated Logic, Siemens, and Ignition.Conduct periodic inspections of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.Monitor and escort subcontractors performing work.Contribute to day-to-day operations that may be outside of the normal skill set, such as restroom repair and training/exposure to unfamiliar tasks.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician in industrial/commercial and/or lab/R&D environments.Associates Degree or Trade School preferred.Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Must be familiar with HVAC and electrical codes.EPA Certification required.Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces and devices.Familiarity with Automated Logic, Siemens controls, and similar control systems.Extensive training in safety practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsSelf-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan, and organize work.Provide excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Professional demeanor with outstanding customer focus.Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethics.Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work onsite at the Fremont location, with occasional travel to the Fremont Factory as needed. Join a team of 15 technicians, excluding engineers. Shifts are from 7 am to 5 am, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
