Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Purpose To conduct and support the maintenance, modification, and related activities of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. This includes preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, as well as participation in pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation, and start-up tasks to ensure optimal operational efficiency of company assets.
The role also involves assisting Senior Electrical Technicians with electrical maintenance tasks as directed by the Electrical Foreman or Senior Electrical Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems in the field and workshop. Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation, and start-up of HVAC equipment and facilities. Troubleshoot HVAC issues and provide timely reports. Review technical documentation including Ducting & Instrument Diagrams (D&IDs), loop drawings, datasheets, and logic diagrams. Ensure availability and condition of spare parts before commencing work. Follow maintenance procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate records and close-out reports of completed work. Participate in toolbox meetings and report incidents, near misses, and accidents as per company procedures.
Job Context & Challenges Support HVAC maintenance activities at LNG facilities to the highest safety and quality standards. Work may involve offshore assignments and construction activities at contractor yard facilities. Adherence to company policies including safety, health, environment, quality, and compliance regulations is mandatory. Qualifications & Experience Completion of Secondary School education followed by vocational training (e.g., TAFE). Minimum 3 years of experience as a technician in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry. Strong hands-on experience in HVAC operation, maintenance, and condition monitoring. Skills & Competencies Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Basic computer literacy (MS Office). High safety awareness and attention to detail.
